Granting access to your Google Ads account
- For
- Whoever administers your Google Ads account
- Grant access to
admin@laurenmilligan.pro- Access level
- Admin
- Time required
- About three minutes, plus one click from us
First, which of the two routes?
There are two ways to give us access. Either works. If you are not sure, use Route A. It is faster and you stay in control.
| Route A: add us as a user | Route B: accept our manager account link | |
|---|---|---|
| What happens | You invite our email address into your account | We send a manager-account request, you approve it |
| Who starts it | You | Us |
| Best when | You own and manage the account directly | You want agency-level billing or reporting rollups |
| Revoking later | You remove the user | You unlink the manager account |
Both are reversible at any time, by you, without our involvement.
Route A: add us as a user
- Sign in to Google Ads at
ads.google.comwith an account that has Admin access. - Confirm you are in the right account. The account name and the 10-digit customer ID are shown at the top right. Please send us that customer ID, it saves a round trip.
- Click Admin in the left navigation.
- Click Access and security.
- Click the plus button (+).
- Enter
admin@laurenmilligan.pro. - Set the access level to Admin.
- Click Send invitation.
We receive an email, click the link in it, and the account moves from Pending to Active. Until we do that, the invitation is not complete. If you have sent it and we have not confirmed receipt, tell us.
Return to Admin → Access and security. Our email address should be listed with access level Admin and status Active, not Pending.
Why Admin, and not Standard
Google Ads offers five levels: Email-only, Billing, Read-only, Standard, and Admin. Standard is enough to build campaigns, and if that is where you want to draw the line, we can work with it. We ask for Admin because two things on a launch critical path need it:
- Billing and payment setup, including confirming the account is verified and able to spend
- Conversion tracking configuration and account linking to Google Analytics and Tag Manager
Standard access means every one of those steps becomes a message to you and a wait. On a short build, that is the difference between launching on time and launching a few days late.
You can reduce us to Standard at any point after launch, and we will tell you when that is safe.
Route B: accepting a manager account (MCC) link
If we have sent a manager account request instead:
- Sign in to Google Ads with Admin access.
- Click Admin, then Access and security.
- Open the Managers tab.
- Find the pending request from laurenmilligan.pro and click Accept.
You can unlink a manager account yourself at any time from the same screen. Linking a manager account does not transfer ownership of the account, the campaigns, or the billing.
If the account is held by a former agency
This is common, and it is the reason we ask about it early rather than on signing day. The account belongs to you, not to the agency, but recovering it is a process rather than a click.
- Ask them directly first. Most agencies transfer without argument. Ask them to add
admin@laurenmilligan.proas an Admin, or to send a manager account invitation to us. That solves it same-day in most cases. - If they do not respond within 24 hours, tell us. Do not wait a week to escalate. Google has a formal account-recovery process for exactly this situation, and it takes time.
- Do not create a second account as a workaround without talking to us first. A new account starts with no history, no conversion data, and no quality signals, and it needs its own verification. Sometimes that is still the right call, but it is a decision with consequences rather than a shortcut.
If there is no Google Ads account at all
Stop here and use the companion guide, Creating a Google Ads account from scratch. Start it the day you find out, not on signing day. New accounts can face verification delays of several business days, and that sits directly on the launch critical path.
