Client guides
Practical, self-contained guides for the access and setup steps that come up at the start of a measurement or paid media engagement. Each one is written for whoever actually has to do the task, which is often not the person who commissioned the work.
They are deliberately plain. Every one explains not just the clicks but why a particular permission level is the right one, so nobody has to grant more access than the job needs.
Granting access to your Google Ads account
Two routes, which permission level to use and why, and what to do if a former agency still holds the account.
Google AdsCreating a Google Ads account from scratch
The two settings that can never be changed afterwards, and why verification timing matters more than the steps.
AnalyticsGranting Google Analytics 4 access
Property level rather than account level, why Editor is the right role, and the sequencing detail that trips up the Google Ads link.
Tag ManagerGranting Google Tag Manager access
Two separate permission settings on one screen. Set only one and access looks granted when it is not.
Search ConsoleGranting Google Search Console access
Why Full user rather than Owner, and how to tell which property to grant on when several exist.
DNSAdding the CNAME record for server-side tracking
One record. What it does, what it does not touch, and where the setting lives at every major registrar.
PardotGranting Pardot and Account Engagement access
Which permission model your instance is on, and a fallback that works when adding an external user is not an option.
StorefrontEcommerce platform access
Usually a later-phase item rather than a launch blocker. Two acceptable ways to give it.
How to use these
Forward the individual link to whoever owns that system. Each guide stands alone, names the exact permission required, and ends with a way to verify the change actually worked. Nothing here needs any other page for context.
Wherever a guide asks for access, it is to admin@laurenmilligan.pro, and every permission described is one you can revoke yourself, at any time, without involving us.
